According to the story, a group of women were hanging out in the parking lot. One wandered off and the group decided that the best way to find her would be to drive her BMW onto the sand and drive up and down the beach. She got stuck when she turned around and hit some wet sand. The vehicle was left there overnight.
When will people learn that sand is not a good idea for your SUV... This was at Nokomis Beach, about 10 minutes from me. Source: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

Unfortunately that BMW doesn’t have a cool Grandad like this Range Rover to get it out if trouble.

This makes it easy for Cpt. Ahab... as the white whale appears to have beached itself.

A few feet to the left of that first photo is where all SUV drivers should take their rides.

Ya mean “SAV”.
These things can hardly off-road.

But, but, wet sand has more traction than dry. Guess they didn’t have X drive.
